Hello foodies today we tell you how was our recent experience in Casa Maca Ibiza, an old farmhouse, completely renovated. In this environment we find a restaurant with a magnificent terrace that offers a sustainable international cuisine that bets on the local product.

It also has an old Trull in which formerly oil was made and which is an authentic museum piece.

The restaurant of the rural hotel Casa Maca has a contemporary Mediterranean menu.

Open to the public, the restaurant offers different menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a few cocktails, while enjoying the Ibizan environment and the incredible views of Dalt Vila.

A perfect balance between global cuisine with elements of the island, using fresh ingredients, local and organic, which coincides with the conscious and sustainable vision of the hotel.

We tried the Menu of the Day for only € 18 offered from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We started with an autumn cream of vegetables from the garden with sprouts of vegetables and toast. This dish is ideal for winter with a lot of flavor; all this always prepared with the maximum possible number of fresh ingredients from the island.

We decided to try the crispy panko shrimp Thai style following the suggestion of Javier, to which we thank him for his warm welcome and kindness.

We were lucky enough to try one of my favorite dishes of the visit, the turkey and vegetable pastry. This dish surprises both for its presentation and the great taste of all its ingredients. You can see the mime of the ingredients and the cuisine in each dish and presentation.

The environment of Casa Maca offers a quiet atmosphere where noises and confusion are conspicuous by their absence and where the fantastic views and the country surroundings teleport you to another world.

We continue enjoying the food with the main dishes. In order to try one of each option, we opted for grilled bacon with potatoes and hake with mushrooms and roasted pumpkin.

The bacon simply melted in the mouth and the homemade potato chips accompanied perfectly rounding the plate.

The fresh hake with shiitake mushrooms and pumpkin was also delicious. These mushrooms originating from Japan, China and Korea we can easily in our country, both fresh and dried, frozen or canned and we can use them in a myriad of dishes. In the daily menu they offer market cuisine, always giving vegetarian options and dishes for both meat and fish lovers.

And we got to my favorite part: desserts! The restaurant offers cakes, and homemade cakes daily with seasonal ingredients and flavors that will drive you crazy. We tried the raspberry sorbet and the chocolate mousse with red berries. Sincerely we can not decant for any since both were tremendous.

Tip: The portions are generous so if you do not decide on a dish, you can follow our advice and share all the dishes.

An ideal place to disconnect and gather strength in a unique location in Ibiza. Also this winter they organize many events related to local cuisine that you can not lose foodies. So stay tuned to our blog and do not miss this oasis in Ibiza.
