Flavours of Ibiza 2020 Calendar
The 2020 Calendar Flavours of Ibiza (Sabors d’Eivissa) was published and presented yesterday by the Ibiza council. It is a calendar which features recipes of traditional Ibizan cuisine, local and seasonal produce, and information about the islands yearly and special gastronomic events. Each month features a product from the island that is in season within that month along with a traditional Ibizan recipe.
Vicent Marí, the president of the counsel of Ibiza said yesterday: “There is no better calendar than one which informs us about local seasonal produce. The produce of Ibiza must always be acknowledged because of its high quality and nutritious value. In choosing this produce, we are helping to improve and support our agriculture, livestock and fishing markets. Which in theory, increases the protection and value of the land”.
The calendar has been edited by the council who partnered up with the Ibizan Study Institution (Institut d’Estudis Eivissencs) and contains recipes from the book “Bon Profit”, and the foundation for conservation of Ibiza and Formentera. The photos throughout have been provided by the photographer Jon Izeta and you can get this 2020 edition from the Ibiza council, the ministry of rural environment and the cooperatives of Ibiza.
