Ginger Cookies Recipe for kids
Chirstmas is coming, it’s the perfect moment to enjoy cooking with your kids at home. Ginger cookies are always a good idea for these dates, you can give it the shape you want and it’s very easy to make.
This recipe is for 15-20 cookies, keep the proportions if you want to make more or less of it.
– 350 gr. flour
– 125 gr. butter
– 100 gr. brown sugar
– 70 gr. honey
– 1 Egg
– 1 spoon of ginger powder
– 1/2 spoon of cinnamon
If you want to customize your cookies, use_
– Powdered sugar
– Sugar candies
– Edible color pen
Ready to cook?
First, melt the sugar and butter together, add the egg and honey. In another pan, mix the ginger, cinnamon with the flour. When you have it, mix the to paste to get an uniform one.
Put it in the fridge during 1 hour. Between 2 vegetable rolls and squash until the dough’s thickness reaches 5 mm. Leave it another 15 minutes in the fridge. You must respect fridge timings because with the butter, the dough melts quickly.
Move away to top roll and cut the dough with your metalic moulds.
Heat the oven 180ºC and cook the cookies 10-12 minutes until it toasts. Let cold down 5 minutes.
That’s it, we have the cookies done! Now if you want to customize your cookies do it with the powdered sugar, sugar candies… Jsut have fun and be creative.
