Granola is a mixture of nuts, almonds and other nuts with oatmeal or honey, all cooked until it’s crispy. This delicious mix provides fiber, energy for the whole day, reduces cholesterol, controls blood sugar levels and is fatless, that’s why is becoming one of the healthiest breakfast options. Would you like to make your own homemade granola to taste? We show you below:
- 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (the brand you prefer)
- 1/2 cup raw nuts
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup flaxseed
- 1/2 cup of raw sesame seeds
- 4 spoons og vegetal oil
- 2 cups of dry nuts (the ones you prefer, mix them, ie 1/2 cup raisins, 1/2 cup of dried coconut strips, 1/2 cup chopped apricots and 1/2 cup of chopped pineapple. Is totally up to you what you want to add).
In a bowl put the oatmeal, walnuts, almonds and flaxseed. Stir well. Heat the honey and oil for 20 to 30 seconds, depending on the power, in the microwave and stir. You should put this mixture over the previous one and combine all the best possible. Now spread this mixture on the oven tin wallpaper with aluminum foil and preheat the oven for 20 minutes. Half the time, remove the mixture. Once the time has passed, remove from the oven, add the dried fruits and sesame seeds. Stir well. Let it cool. Store in a bowl that keeps it hermetically sealed.
Tip: For breakfast or to have a quick snack, mix a couple of granola spoons with natural yogurt and a bit of fresh fruit. Delicious!
