'Clean eating' – the new trend in healthy eating | IbizaFoodie
What does it mean to eat “clean“? Broadly speaking, it means to purify your diet; reduce the consumption of processed foods, increase vegetable intake, say goodbye to empty calories and refined ones. Shaping your diet, mainly from ‘whole foods‘, foods that can be consumed in their natural form.
The Clean Eating movement was born in the 60s in the United States, when many citizens refused to consume processed foods.
The benefits are infinite: weight control, greater energy efficiency and better digestive health. Hence, the ‘clean eating’ is so popular among Millennials and ‘Generation Z’, recognized for worrying about the future and taking care of their health.
Health experts clarify that the “Clean Eating” movement should not be seen as a diet, but rather as a healthy lifestyle.
If we do our part and are consequent with the consumption of fresh foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants, to mention only a couple of advantages, we will soon see a radical changes in our lives, we will have more energy and we can avoid or deal with diseases.
