Il Decanter – contemporary Italian cuisine in Dalt Vila | IbizaFoodie
Next to the door of the spectacular Dalt Vila wall, we find Il Decanter, an Italian restaurant that offers contemporary cuisine with high-end products. Its large L-shaped terrace invites you to sit down and enjoy an dinner under the stars in the center of Ibiza.
Pizzas, homemade fresh pasta, meat and fish with original recipes and a very careful presentation. It also offers a small section with the fresh Sushi bar.
In their kitchen, they incorporate Ibizan ingredients such as vegetables, farm chicken and some local fish. Il Decanter also participates in the Ibiza Sabor 2017 sessions with a tasting menu that we invite you to try.
Its privileged position is undoubtedly an attraction that makes them unique.
We start with a delicious amuse–bouche that consists of a crust with two sauces: one potato with truffle and the other a spicy mayonnaise. Every day they serve a different mishbous to keep surprising the customer.
We continue with a delicious and homemade focaccia with arugula, burrata and homemade marinated salmon. The salmon had a delicious flavor and we were left with the desire to discover the recipe. Along with this, they have a wide selection of focaccias, which you can see here.
We liked the idea of serving their own osmotic water, a very successful proposal that promotes care and respect for the environment.
The next dish surprised us; although at first glance it looks like a dessert, it is a dish of livers flavors. It is called DEK LÍGADOS and it consists of a Mousse de Pollo y Vinsanto, Multilayer of Oca and a chocolate and pork praline. Undoubtedly, a very interesting and studied dish with different textures. A mix of savory and sweet flavors and contrasts that create a very original harmony.
We leave the starters and we pass to a second: Octopus and Prawns tempura. We were very surprised by its presentation so original and at the same time so sustainable. This dish is perfect to share with friends!
The kitchen of Il Decanter combines and transforms optimal raw materials giving life to new combinations that composes the varied menu.
And the time for pasta arrived! We could not decide on one and we tried two different varieties. The first was a delicious handmade Taglioni with cuttlefish brutto and hazelnut. Love at first sight, a real crush.
The other variety was a very good homemade gnocchi with sage, black truffle and foie gras. The love they have for the kitchen and the quality and freshness of the raw material are very noticeable. The gnocchi melt in your mouth and the flavors fit perfectly in each bite. The laminated foie gras is also homemade and its powerful flavor is enviable.
The menu also offers a wide variety of meats and fish. Among these, the chef recommended the lacquered Iberian Pancetta with honey, so we encourage you to try it. Undoubtedly one of the tastiest dishes we tried. The meat that they cook at low temperature for more than 12 hours, was at its point and melted in the mouth.
To finish with the feast, they surprised us with a dessert, made special for Ibiza Foodie, that included a very sweet mix: Caramelised millefeuille, homemade ice cream with lemon fruit, chocolate brownie, nuts and chantilly.
Il Decanter proposes a wide selection of tasty proposals; It starts with tasty starters to continue with reinvented first courses, succulent seconds and delicious hamburgers.
In their first winter, they offer a daily menu at very competitive prices that vary each week. In this menu, there are 5 options based on what you want to eat: pizza, pasta, burger, salad or sushi. The price ranges between 12.50 and 14.50 euros and all combinations include drinks.
A breakfast menu is also offered for those who love to have breakfast outside the house and enjoy the taste of good Italian coffee.
It also offers cocktail bar service; open from 12:00 until the early morning, you will be with your appetizers, cocktails and snacks.
