La Dispensa, the best secret behind the walls of Dalt Vila

When was the last time you had a walk in Dalt vila to enjoy its streets and peace?

Today we’ll give you the best argument to go there and have dinner, we’ll talk you about the unique restaurant inside the walls open during winter. It’s called La Dispensa.

Just 30 meters from the main plaza, the Spanish Mediterranean, Italian and French touch transported to a exquisite cuisine.

In the restaurant the service was fantastic, we sat outside because the weather was good but inside is well-decorated to warm you up from the winter. During all the service, Jazz and Classics music made our lunch even better.

We started with a warm potato salad of octopus and Kalamata (Greek) olive seasoned with a sauce of almonds and pepper in basil oil. No doubts, one of the best octopus salad we have ever tasted, do not miss it!

We didn’t know what to choose: meat or fish so we decide to start with Linguine ai frutti di mare with a small touch of spicy. For fresh pasta lovers and sea flavours, ask for it!

And for the Carnivorous we asked for Veal sirloin to the point with foie accompanied by caramelized melon and seasonal vegetables. We felt in love with the mix between the foie melting in the mouth with the meat and the caramelized melon. A very good option to eat meat without stuff yourself.

Finally to finish this amazing meal in the sweetest way, we ordered the chocolate mousse with Maldon Salt and oil… Pure sin in a crystal cup. All the desserts were so attractive.

Chef doesn’t look to impress you with decorated dishes. For this he looks for the perfect combination of fresh and meticulously chosen products to give the maximum flavour to each of its dishes

During winter, La Dispensa is open every day only for dinner till 11pm.

They accept reservations for Christmas dinner and groups in a beautiful dinner room and if you are looking for more privacy, look for the “Cave”.

On Sunday from 10.30am to 4.30am
They offer a brunch with croissants, pastry, apple strudel, cakes, pies, cold and hot pasta, meat, crispy chicken, jams, cheese board and sausages for 20e (drinks aside)

Also, on Friday famous Malcolm Sushiman brings to the Dispensa a very special Japanese Cuisine.

Don’t be late, they close for holidays from January 7 to February 14. They will reopen just to celebrate St. Valentine’s with special menus, and the place can not be better for the occasion.
