Miso soup against this cold snap | IbizaFoodie
Winter arrived to Ibiza, that’s why we are changing our mood to a winter mode. Ibiza Foodie gives you the best way to get warm with the real and unique Miso Soup (Misoshiro)
Here all the ingredients you need to prepare it. You’ll find most of them in special shops in town.
- 800 ml of dashi broth
- 10 gr, dried wakame seaweed
- 60 ml white miso pasta
- 15 0gr fresh Tofu
- 1-2 sweet onions
For the dashi soup you need
- 1l. water
- 20g kombu seaweed
- 20g katsuobushi flakes
- 1 saucepan
- 1 colander
- 1 muslin
Let’s start with the dashi soup (ichibandashi)
Leave the kombu seak between 2-4 hours in 1L of water and warm it afterward. When the water is about to bowl, move the seaweed away from the pan.
Add the flakes to the water during 15 minutes.
Finally use the muslin to strain the water and squeeze it to get all the flavors.
Now it’s time to finish the elaboration of the miso soup.
Leave the soup heating, in another bowl put some soup and leave the pasta tenderize. In the pan add the wakame and also the pasta. Cut the Tofu in small dices and add them and serve the soup in each bowls, ready to eat!
You can add some onions, shrimps, corn, fish or chicken… Just be creative and enjoy this warm miso soup at home to beat the cold!
