Our Sobrasada is part of "Sabors d'Eivissa" | IbizaFoodie
If you don’t know what we’re talking about, “Sabors d’Eivissa” was created to promote our local lands and sea products with original techniques.
Sobrasada, rich in proteins, has now gastronomic seal of quality under the brand “Sabors d’Eivissa”. Eivissa president, Vicent Torres, the “conseller” de Medi Ambient, Habitatge i Medi Rural i Marí, Miquel Vericad, and the “Associació de Carnissers de la PIMEEF”, introduced at Can Lluc de Sant Rafel, the traditional sobrasada of the brand “Sabors d’Eivissa”.
Of course, the sobrasada need to obey to requirements: the pig must be raised in Ibiza and be feed with cereals and carob tree.
In addition, sobreasada is much more than gastronomic product, it has a very long historic story, it represents our traditions and customs. The importance of our gastronomy increase every day and we’re very proud of it, it’s just the beginning.
