Sun Thai, thai cuisine in Playa d’en Bossa

Hello foodies!

Today we want to talk about our recent visit to Sun Thai, a Thai restaurant in Playa den Bossa that offers a colorful tasting menu every day. The Sun Thai project was created to bring this Asian cuisine to the public with all the blessings granted by food critics, considered one of the healthiest cuisines in the world.

Thai cuisine is one of the most varied, rich and tasty in Asia and its four basic flavors are sweet, bitter, salty and sour. The question is to find the balance between these flavors and then put hot peppers and herbs.

We decided on the tasting menu that offers 4 courses for 18 euros.

We start with the starters: Sliced prawn skewer with red curry and accompanied by peanut sauce.

Crunchy Thai roll of chicken and tofu with sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce.

And a Som Tan salad, something spicy with cabbage, carrot, papaya and green beans.

This menu is ideal to share and to serve it all together you can combine the flavors and play with the different sauces that accompany the different creations.

As “intermediate” they offer us an ice-cold lemonade with lemon grass and mint. A very good idea to clean the flavor and prepare our palate for the next dish.

And so we come to the main courses and our favorites of the evening! The famous Pad Thau Koong: sautéed noodles with bean sprouts, vegetables, tamarind sauce, chicken and prawns. Pad Thai in Thailand is like paella in Spain.

Sautéed pork fillet with Panaeng curry vegetables and lime leaf.

Traditional Thai green chicken curry with coconut milk, bamboo and herbs.

And to accompany the traditional white rice with jasmine. In Thai cuisine, the relationship with rice is such that in Thai eating it is called “Kin Khaw”, which literally means eating rice.

And we arrived at the sweetest moment, the dessert! Coconut and mango ice cream with orange, rambutan and pineapple.

If you liked the article and want to try the menu, it is available every day from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Here the dishes are not only dishes, but true works full of color and flavors and contrasts.
