The event will begin with an opening at 11.30am that will be featured with a traditional lunch with bread, wine and Sobrasada sausage. Artesanos, exhibitions of agricultural machinery, old tools and photographies of a rural Ibiza will be some of the activities you can enjoy this Sunday. There will also be the first Rural Photography Contest, if you are interested in participating, you can consult it here. At that same time there will also be a typical folklore exhibition. A demonstration of “llaurada payesa” (traditional tillage) and traditional carriage rides for children are planned, so it is an perfect plan for families.
At lunchtime there will be a “Torrada Popular payesa” with Ibizan pastries and traditional wine included.
And, of course, the celebration of the “VII Verro Olímpic”, a popular competition in which the costumed participants, in teams, will have to jump over obstacles, go through flooded holes, walk carrying a bucket of water in the head or drink a jug of traditional wine.
A very traditional plan for everyone.
