Japanese Kobe beef is nowadays among one of the most exquisite meat-eating dishes. The exceptional care the oxen receive (they feed them with sake and beer, put classical music during milking and they have single beds), makes the meat with a very particular characteristic: infiltrated fat .This property gives a marbled appearance which results in an unmatched juiciness.
Although there are other meats such Angus meat (from USA), then, what is the difference? Just the geographical area they are from!
Currently, there are only 300 farms dedicated to this type of animal raising, which put on the market about 4,000 animals per year.
One of these farms is located in Ibiza, in Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera which has over 20 hectares of pasture and crop and is the only one in the island with 100% local production.
This farm supply one of the best restaurants on the island, Montauk, located in the resort of Ushuaïa Beach Hotel.
